Deep Clean (Day Before or Morning of Photos)
This should be done the day before—or the morning of—your photography appointment. We want your home sparkling clean, especially the kitchen and bathrooms, as nothing turns a buyer off more than a dirty home. If you don’t want to personally clean, please hire a professional cleaner. All staging and repairs should be finished before cleaning.
Focus Areas
- Kitchen: counters cleared, sinks/faucets shined, appliances wiped (fronts & handles), floors mopped.
- Bathrooms: mirrors streak-free, glass/tiles scrubbed, grout/calc clean, fresh towels neatly staged.
- Floors & baseboards: vacuum/mop, dust baseboards and vents.
- Windows & light: wipe interior glass, open blinds evenly to let in natural light.
- Dusting: ceiling fans, light fixtures, shelves, frames, and corners/cobwebs.
Photo-Day Quick Prep
- Hide trash cans, pet bowls, litter boxes, plungers, and countertop clutter.
- Tuck cords/remotes, close toilet lids, straighten rugs/bed linens.
- Turn on all lights; replace any dim or burned-out bulbs.
- Remove car(s) from driveway; clear fridge magnets and personal notes.
