First Showing Request — Let’s Shine
Fabulous news! We have our first showing request. Here’s how to prep before every showing:
- Make the home look just like photo day: clean surfaces, dishes put away, floors free of pet hair.
- Put all toilet lids down.
- Open all curtains/blinds to maximize natural light.
- Turn on all lights before you leave.
- Secure valuables (jewelry, prescription meds, etc.) or take them with you.
- Hide any mail/bills with your name—buyers don’t need personal info.
- Turn off alarm systems and lock doors on your way out.
- Buyer’s agent will access via lockbox (if we’re not accompanying) and should turn off lights and lock up after.
- Showings usually last 15–30 minutes. Please be out 15 minutes early and plan for 45–60 minutes away (early/late arrivals are common—and interest running long is a good sign!).
- Take pets with you if possible, unless they’re very mellow with strangers.
- Once brochures/MLS sheets arrive, leave a neat stack on the foyer or dining table.
After each showing, the buyer’s agent automatically receives a feedback request. Historically, only about 30% respond—if feedback comes in, we’ll forward it to you immediately.
